International Students of Gubkin University Take Part in the “Moscow Student Summer 2026” Project

On August 25, 2026, the “Moscow Student Summer 2026” project came to an end. As part of the project, international students of Gubkin University visited more than ten museums and excursions.

The main goal of the project is to help international students adapt more quickly to our country, introduce them to the cultural code, and convey key values and traditions of Russia through acquaintance with the historical past and main attractions of Moscow. The project has been running for several years and is very popular among international students.

In 2026, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Yandex Museum, the People’s Museum of the Moscow V.I. Lenin Order of Lenin and Order of the Red Banner of Labor Metro, and the Museum of Moscow — where students saw kerosene lamps familiar to the Gubkin community — were added to the traditionally visited museums.

Gubkin students showed particular interest in such iconic places as the Kuskovo Estate Museum, the Museum of Cosmonautics, and the Museum of Slavic Writing “Slovo”.

During the excursion programmes, international students did not just learn facts but deeply immersed themselves in the rich history and cultural environment of the country. The excursions helped students to feel and understand such traditional Russian values as continuity of generations, patriotism, constructive work, and respect for the multinational heritage of the country.

At the end of the excursion programmes, students shared positive impressions and demonstrated the knowledge and skills they had acquired.
