Gubkin University Students at the 2025 Yalta International Forum
From November 6 to 7, 2025, the 2025 Yalta International Forum was held, featuring a youth section entitled "Crimea: An International Platform for Youth Dialogue" with the participation of activists from the Crimean community. Ivan Mikhalchuk, a student at the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering, participated in the section.
The event was organized by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation.
The forum was attended by leading experts, scientists, government officials, and public figures from Russia and abroad, as well as members of the International Association of Friends of Crimea.
The forum's youth section provided a platform for open dialogue with leading experts in international relations and politics. Speakers included Hélène Perroux, Advisor to Former French President Jacques Chirac; Nikolai Mezhevich, Head of the Center for Belarusian Studies at the Institute of International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Sergey Markedonov, Leading Researcher at the Institute of International Relations at MGIMO University; and Nikolai Silaev, Leading Researcher at the Institute of International Relations at MGIMO University.
Participants in the section had the opportunity not only to listen to the presentations but also to ask questions, which facilitated a constructive exchange of views and a deeper understanding of current issues in international relations. In his welcoming address to the forum participants, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized that the event will facilitate Russia's interaction with like-minded partners from countries with a global majority.
"It is gratifying that your prestigious platform will once again bring together representatives of government agencies, academic experts, business, and public circles for a substantive exchange of views on a pressing agenda. I am confident that the meeting will be constructive, facilitate the launch of new, relevant projects, and advance creative collaboration with our like-minded partners from countries with a global majority," the Russian Foreign Minister stated.
