Gubkin University students at a meeting of participants in the literary and patriotic project of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia "Russian Readings"
On February 18, 2025, foreign students of Gubkin University performed at the Central House of Culture of Railway Workers at the first meeting of participants in 2025 of the large-scale literary and patriotic project of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia "Russian Readings".
A creative group of foreign students led by the head of the advertising and information support Victoria Mikhedova performed the song "I love you, Russia".
The program of the literary and patriotic cycle of public readings of great Russian literature "The History of Russia - the History of Victories" was dedicated to the victories of the multinational people of our country in different historical periods. Theater artists presented on stage a reconstruction of the Battle on the Ice and the people's militia, the Battles of Kulikovo and Poltava, the Battles of Borodino and Prokhorovka. Special attention was paid to the special military operation.
"In today's program, we have collected the stories of the great victories of our multinational country and transferred the valiant conquests to the literary genre. We dedicated this event to both the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland and the approaching Defender of the Fatherland Day," said Alexander Darkovich, Director General of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia, from the stage.
Vitaly Suchkov, Head of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the City of Moscow, gave a high assessment of the "Russian Readings" project.
Vladimir Zorin, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Interethnic, Interreligious Relations and Migration, member of the Assembly Council, Sergei Kandybovich, member of the Presidium of the Presidential Council on Interethnic Relations, and other public and political figures took to the stage with creative numbers that supported the general theme of the event.
Special applause was given to Maria Rokhlina, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, participant in the Battle of Stalingrad, and medical instructor of the 290th Guards Regiment.
At the end of the evening, Yuri Kononov performed the song “God is in heaven, and Russia is on earth” together with a creative group of foreign students from Gubkin University.
