Gubkin University graduates became the holders of Gubkin University Cup

On 1 September 2019, on the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers, the fuel and energy companies played at Luzhniki Olympic Complex for the title of a holder of Gubkin University Cup. The football team represented by Gubkin University graduates became the winner.

The charitable football event for Gubkin University Cup is traditionally dedicated to the Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day, and organized by the Foundation of Gubkin University Alumni since 2005.

The tournament was opened by the Vice-Rector for Education at Gubkin University Marina Filatova, the Vice-Rector for Academic Work at Gubkin University Vladimir Koshelev, the Chair of the Public Council of the Foundation of Gubkin University Alumni Alexander Kochnev, the Deputy Chair of the Management Board of the Foundation of Gubkin University Roman Kotenko and the Executive Deputy Chair of the Management Board of the Foundation of Gubkin University Sergey Viryaskin.

This year 10 teams participated in the football tournament, including 8 teams representing oil and gas companies, including Rosneft, SIBUR Holding, Tatneft, Transneft, Zarubezhneft, MOSGAZ, RN-Trans, Industrial Trade Alliance, as well as the student team of Gubkin University and the team of graduate students of Gubkin University.

According to the tournament results, the winner and the holder of Gubkin University Cup in 2019 became the football team represented by Gubkin University graduates.
