Gubkin University at the Forum of National Achievements “Energy”
On 20 February 2024, an energy themed day was held as part of the Forum of National Achievements “Energy” within the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”.
During the day, Gubkin University students attended the Dialogue on Equals event with the participation of Mr. Alexander Novak, Deputy Chair of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, became a speaker of the expert session “The Path to a Profession: A Conscious Choice or an Accident?” aimed to discuss the effectiveness of choosing a profession, the conversion of career guidance projects into the fuel and energy complex, the synergistic effect industry companies and universities may have from working with the youth and expectations of young people and parents on the choice of a profession. The event was moderated by Ms. Anastasia Bondarenko, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation. Representatives of leading Russian energy companies and non-profit organizations contributed to the expert session as speakers.
The first-year students of the Faculty of Chemical and Environmental Engineering and the Faculty of Integrated Security of the Fuel and Energy Complex under the leadership of Mr. Vyacheslav Kalinov, Head of Department of History at Gubkin University, participated in a conference organized with the support of PJSC LUKOIL and dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Baku Oil Society, the first joint-stock company in the Russian oil industry.
