From March 23 to April 7, 2025, Gubkin University students helped birds at the Polar Dawns rehabilitation center. The volunteers' tasks included washing oil-contaminated birds, working in a hospital to care for injured animals, and in the administrative and economic block.

From March 23 to April 7, 2025, activists of the environmental club Anna Zenovskaya (group GEM-23-03), Pyotr Varochkin (group AI-23-02), Elizaveta Pastukhova (group GEM-23-03), Ernst Shitko (group KO-23-16), Serafima Tsaryabina (group GEM-23-03), Bogdan Savoskin (group RT-24-12) took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the oil spill in the Krasnodar Region.

As part of the volunteer mission at the Polar Zori bird rescue center, students cared for animals (examination, feeding, watering, etc.), cleaned cages, enclosures, changed bedding, washed feeders and drinkers, prepared feed and feed mixtures, and provided first aid to wild animals.

On average, 15 to 100 birds are admitted to the rehabilitation center. Every day, bird catchers, washers, veterinarians, veterinarian assistants, ornithologists, farm volunteers, headquarters administrators, and kitchen workers take part in the work of the headquarters. This is almost a hundred people working in three shifts.
