XIV Youth International Scientific and Practical Conference named after A.I. Gritsenko "New Technologies in the Gas Industry: Experience and Continuity"
From May 25 to 29, 2026, the XIV Youth International Scientific and Practical Conference named after A.I. Gritsenko "New Technologies in the Gas Industry: Experience and Continuity" was held at the Gazprom VNIIGAZ Research Center in Moscow.
The event brought together employees of Gazprom PJSC subsidiaries, as well as students from Gubkin University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Ukhta State Technical University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, ITMO University, Tyumen Industrial University, National Research University "MPEI," and MGIMO University.
Alexander Shagov, Head of Department at PJSC Gazprom, and Maxim Nedzvetskoy, General Director of Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC, delivered welcoming remarks.
During the conference, students participated in sections on "Geology, Prospecting, and Exploration of Oil and Gas Fields," "Development of Oil and Gas Fields. Well Drilling," "Design, Construction, and Operation of Pipeline Transport Systems," "Chemical Technology and Processes in the Oil and Gas Industry," "Environmental and Industrial Safety, Energy Efficiency in the Oil and Gas Industry," and "Modern Human Resource Management Issues in the Oil and Gas Industry."
Following the conference, students and members of the Gubkin University Student Scientific Society won prizes:
– Nikita Orlov (group NZA-23-02) won third place in the "Geology, Prospecting, and Exploration of Oil and Gas Fields" section with his paper "Quality Control of Primary Reservoir Drilling Based on Geophysical Data" (supervisor: Kazimir Kovalenko, Head of the Department of Geophysical Information Systems);
– Vasily Solodov (group RF-21-09) won third place in the "Oil and Gas Field Development. Well Drilling" section with his paper "Geomechanical Percolation Model of a Fractured Reservoir" (supervisor: Valery Kadet, Head of the Department of Oil, Gas, and Subsurface Hydromechanics).

– Vitaly Surkanov presented a paper in Section 7, "Environmental and Industrial Safety, Energy Efficiency in the Oil and Gas Industry" (supervised by Elena Subbotina, Associate Professor of the Department of Geoecology);
– Nikolay Luzik presented a paper in Section 7, "Environmental and Industrial Safety, Energy Efficiency in the Oil and Gas Industry" (supervised by Natalia Lobzhanidze, Associate Professor of the Department of Geoecology);
– Maxim Zbrodin with a report in Section #2 (Academic Supervisor – Maria Tonkonogova, Associate Professor of the Department (Basic) of Modeling Physical-Technological Processes of Field Development);
– Victoria Shchabelskaya with a report in Section #12 (Academic Supervisor – Alla Volokhina, Professor of the Department of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection);
– Alexander Kolienko with a report in Section #2 (Academic Supervisor – Denis Marakov, Associate Professor of the Department of Development and Operation of Gas and Gas Condensate Fields);
– Nadezhda Starshinova with a report in Section #12 (Academic Supervisor – Irina Eremina, Head of the Department of Economic Theory);
– Anastasia Tretyakova with a report in Section #7 "Issues of Environmental and Industrial Safety, Energy Efficiency in the Oil and Gas Industry" (Academic Supervisor – Anton Korobov, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection); - Liliya Tsopanova presented a paper in Section 7, "Environmental and Industrial Safety, Energy Efficiency in the Oil and Gas Industry" (supervised by Irina Minaeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection);
- Valeria Trikhonovich presented a paper in Section 7, "Environmental and Industrial Safety, Energy Efficiency in the Oil and Gas Industry" (supervised by Alla Volokhina, Professor of the Department of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection).
Representing members of the Gubkin University Student Scientific Society at external venues is part of the university's Student Scientific Society development program, "Strategy for New Discoveries."
