University Students at the VII International Oil and Gas Youth Forum

From July 12 to 18, 2026, the VII International Oil and Gas Youth Forum was held at the campus of Almetyevsk State Technological University “Higher School of Oil”. The event was organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and PJSC Tatneft.

The aim of the project was to create a unique international youth educational platform to form a progressive youth team capable of solving the current industry challenges facing the fuel and energy complex of Russia and friendly countries.

During the forum, participants were required to solve cases representing real production problems related to the oil and gas industry.

Following the forum, Reza Talebi, a student of the Department of Oil and Gas Drilling (group NGA-25-01), proved himself to be an active participant, while Ilya Gavrilyuk, a student of the Department of Industrial Ecology (group KHEM-24-06), together with an interdisciplinary team from other universities and organizations, became a winner in the “Industrial Biotechnologies” section by presenting a case on “Excess Biological Sludge Processing at Oil Refineries”.

The representation of members of the Student Scientific Society (SSS) of Gubkin University at external venues is carried out within the framework of the University’s SSS development programme “Strategy of New Discoveries”.
