University Staff Participate in the Business Program of the 16th International Security Exhibition "Integrated Safety"

The 16th International Security Exhibition "Integrated Safety" took place from September 3 to 5, 2026, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. The event was attended by representatives from CIS countries (the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Armenia), as well as delegates from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Malaysia, Lebanon, and other nations.

As part of the business program organized by the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergencies (EMERCOM of Russia) and the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ensuring the Safety of Oil Facilities" and the strategic session "Safe Arctic – 2027" were held. Dmitry Medvedev, Head of the Department of International Cooperation in the Field of Security, delivered a presentation titled "International Scientific and Technical Cooperation in the Protection of Oil Facilities" during the first session and also participated in the conference's concluding session. Imad Abbas Tufaili, Associate Professor at the same department, also took part in the discussion regarding the session's outcomes.

The central theme of the "Safe Arctic – 2027" strategic session was preparations for interagency experimental research exercises scheduled for 2027 along the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor. Mikhail Guskov, Head of the Department of Special Programs, presented a report detailing the specifics of training facility personnel involved in emergency rescue operations, as well as innovative approaches to developing specialized simulators utilizing VR/AR technologies.
