On December 25, 2024, TASS held a press conference dedicated to the elimination of the consequences of the largest environmental disaster in the Russian Black Sea region after the sinking of two tankers in the Kerch Strait.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation (VOOP), First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Vyacheslav Fetisov, Chairman of the Scientific Expert Council (SEC) of VOOP, Scientific Director of the Institute of Water Problems Viktor Danilov-Danilyan, Deputy Chairman of the SEC of VOOP, General Director of the Center for Special Projects and Programs Roman Golunov, member of the SEC of VOOP, General Director of the company "70TONN" Andrey Shipkin and Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Ecology of Gubkin University Sergey Ostakh.
