University postgraduate student at the All-Russian youth scientific and practical conference "Structure of the lithosphere and geodynamics XXXI"
From May 13 to 15, 2025, the All-Russian youth scientific and practical conference "Structure of the lithosphere and geodynamics XXXI" was held in Irkutsk. Gubkin University was represented at the event by a postgraduate student of the Department of Oil and Gas Prospecting and Exploration, young scientist Gayaz Fayzullin.
The All-Russian youth scientific and practical conference "Structure of the lithosphere and geodynamics" is a traditional scientific event that has been held at the Institute of the Earth's Crust SB RAS since 1959. The conference is dedicated to discussing modern problems of geology, tectonics and geodynamics of the lithosphere. During its existence, the conference has become a popular platform for exchanging experiences of specialists in the Earth sciences. The members of the organizing committee are employees of the Institute of the Earth's Crust SB RAS. Conference participants from different cities of Russia presented high-level reports on a wide range of theoretical and practical problems of the structure, tectonics and geodynamics of the lithosphere.
After the opening ceremony, a three-day program of plenary, oral and poster presentations, excursions and entertainment events was organized for the conference participants. The agenda included many events in various areas of geological sciences, such as stratigraphy, tectonics, regional and historical geology, oil and gas geology and lithology, geology and genesis of ore deposits, genetic and structural mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry and geochronology, geophysics and geophysical research methods.
Postgraduate student, young scientist of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) named after I.M. Gubkin Gayaz Faizullin presented his scientific work "Features of the tectonic structure of the Olenek arch based on the results of a comprehensive interpretation of potential fields and modern seismic data in light of oil and gas potential prospects" as part of an oral report in the section "Modern geodynamics, tectonophysics, tectonics and geomorphology". Scientific supervisor - Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Prospecting and Exploration, Professor, Doctor of Geological and Mineral Sciences Sergey Khafizov.
Following the conference, an electronic collection of abstracts of all reports included in the conference program was compiled, which will be published in the electronic collection of abstracts on the website and sent for indexing in the Russian Science Citation Index in mid-2025.
