Round table "Current issues of training specialists for scientific and production complexes of oil and gas companies"
On April 10, 2025, a round table on the topic "Current issues of training specialists for scientific and production complexes of oil and gas companies" was held at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University).
Vladimir Koshelev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, addressed the participants of the round table. The purpose of the event was to create a single platform for the exchange of experience and best practices in training students at the basic departments of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University). During the round table, current trends in the labor market in the oil and gas industry were considered, as well as employers' requirements for graduates, and an analysis of existing master's degree programs was presented. Reports were made by teachers of the basic departments of the faculties of oil and gas field development, economics and management. The speakers shared their experience in theoretical and practical training of master's students and proposed developing an interdisciplinary approach to training within the framework of implementing master's programs. The work of the departments was also supported by the Dean of the Faculty of Oil and Gas Field Development Petr Pyatibratov and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Alexander Slavinsky.
Following the round table, a decision was made to hold round tables regularly. This format of interaction between basic departments seems effective for exchanging experience, implementing joint projects, improving the quality of training specialists, and formulating recommendations and proposals for further development of the personnel training system in the oil and gas industry in order to achieve technological leadership in the Russian Federation.
The event was organized by the (basic) Department of Modeling Physical and Technological Processes of Field Development.
