Members of the student scientific society at the TSU educational forum "Quality of Life: Global Changes"

From August 18 to 21, 2025, the Tomsk State University educational forum "Quality of Life: Global Changes" was held in Tomsk as part of the All-Russian student Olympiad "I am a professional", in which members of the student scientific society of Gubkin University Tomila Mazhrenova and Vasilina Kulikova took part.

The program is focused on interaction between participants and industrial partners of the forum, as well as discussion of the contribution of companies to the development of the regional and Russian economy, visiting real production facilities and immersing themselves in the history of the company's development together with partners. The general partners of the forum were Artlife LLC, Sibagro JSC, Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk LLC.

The program focuses on finding solutions to specialized cases from partner companies by teams of participants in integration with educational lectures, master classes and trainings. The solutions presented as a result can be used in the implementation of new scientific tasks and real production problems. Trends in geology, ecology, biotechnology and psychology were also discussed with leading scientists and representatives of partner companies, a career meeting was held, where they talked about the skills that are important for professional development.

The study of the region took place not only through the activities of companies - the forum program included walking tours of the city and an introduction to Tomsk State University.

The welcoming speech was given by the acting dean of the chemistry department of Tomsk State University, associate professor, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Alexey Knyazev.

As part of the forum, students took part in the tracks "Biotechnology", "Geology", "Psychology" and "Ecology". Gubkin University was represented at the event by members of the student scientific society: Tomila Mazhrenova, a student of the Faculty of Oil and Gas Field Development (group RNM-24-05), as part of the Geology 1 team, and Vasilina Kulikova, a student of the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics of Oil and Gas (group GE-24-10), as part of the Ecology 2 team.

Following the forum, Tomila Mazhrenova's team took first place in the Geology track, and Vasilina Kulikova's team took first place in the Ecology track.

Representation of members of the student scientific society of Gubkin University at external venues is implemented within the framework of a subsidy from the federal budget to higher education institutions for the implementation of events aimed at supporting student scientific communities within the framework of the development program of the student scientific society of the university "Uniting Science: from Popularization to Practice".
