IX International Scientific and Practical Conference Humanitarian Gubkin Readings

On May 16, 2025, the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference Humanitarian Gubkin Readings "History, Society, Personality: Global Challenges, Problems, Prospects" was held at Gubkin University.

The event is dedicated to significant dates - the 95th anniversary of Gubkin University and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The conference was prepared by the Faculty of Humanitarian Education of Gubkin University. The student scientific society provided assistance in organizing and holding the event.

Scientists and experts from the Republics of Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and 18 regions of Russia took part in the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference Humanitarian Gubkin Readings. In particular, in addition to scientists from Gubkin University, representatives of RTU MIREA, the Prince Alexander Nevsky Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, Tyumen Industrial University, North-Eastern State University, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, Saratov National Research State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky, North Caucasus Federal University, Russian State Professional Pedagogical University and others presented their reports at the conference.

The conference included a plenary session and expert discussions of more than 120 scientific reports in three sections.

Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Gubkin University Vyacheslav Kalinov addressed the discussion participants with a welcoming speech, in which he addressed the history of the creation and development of Gubkin University as a leading industry university and paid special attention to the contribution of the Moscow Oil Institute to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and also mentioned the importance of holding such conferences and thanked all participants for their interest.

The conference addressed key issues of economics and social policy in the oil and gas sector. Leading scientists, experts and representatives of key industry enterprises took part in the discussion.

In 2025, one of the main topics of the event was the challenges of modern Russia in forming a model of patriotic education in the training of engineering and technical personnel, as well as the prospects for using artificial intelligence and the latest digital technologies to develop the human potential of the fuel and energy complex.

The IX International Scientific and Practical Conference Humanitarian Gubkin Readings covered such subject areas as the history of Russia and the Great Patriotic War, state scientific and technical policy, science and innovation, education, trends in the oil and gas labor market, the structure and role of human potential in ensuring sustainable development of the regional economy, philosophy, linguistics.
