International Festival "Science 0+"
On October 12, 2025, the international festival "Science 0+" was held at Gubkin University as part of Science Week, organized by the student scientific society.
The event's theme was "Your Quantum Reality," and university staff immersed participants in the quantum world of the oil and gas industry.
The festival included quantum bingo, where participants competed for memorable prizes by completing various tasks and answering themed questions.
Associate Professor of the Department of Organic and Petroleum Chemistry Olga Snastina gave a lecture on the relationship between oil and quantum physics and answered all the audience's questions.
Participants had the opportunity to visit Gubkin University's main research and innovation centers and laboratories, specifically the Center for Field Development Management and the L.V. Pustovalov, the Laboratory for Scanning Electron Microscopy of Reservoir Rocks, and the laboratories of the Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry.
The next activity was a scientific intellectual game, where participants divided into teams and answered 36 questions related to the event's theme. The winners received commemorative gifts.
The event is being implemented as part of a federal budget subsidy to higher education institutions for the implementation of activities aimed at supporting student scientific communities as part of the university's student scientific community development program, "Uniting Science: From Popularization to Practice."
