II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Aspects of Working with International Students in Russian Universities"

On February 20, 2026, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Aspects of Working with International Students in Russian Universities" was held at Gubkin University. Organized by the Russian Language Department, the conference brought together faculty from Gubkin University. Guests and speakers included faculty from the Moscow State Technical University "STANKIN," Moscow State Pedagogical University, MGIMO University, Russian Technical University MIREA, RUDN University, Sechenov University, the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, St. Petersburg Mining University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, and the Deputy Director General of the Zlatoust Educational and Publishing Center.

For the first time, faculty from the Department of General and Applied Chemistry and the Department of Computer Science participated in a conference dedicated to the education of international students at universities.

During the conference, participants discussed the most important issues in teaching methods for international students and ways to help them adapt and study successfully. All speakers expressed interest in improving the effectiveness of work at all levels and stages of education, from the first lessons to master's and doctoral studies. Presentations addressed the challenges of understanding and mutual understanding, the challenges of working in multi-ethnic groups, and in groups of students from different countries with different native languages. Participants shared interesting and innovative experiences in organizing extracurricular activities, the creation of new textbooks and teaching aids, and shared their experiences in overcoming the difficulties international students face when studying in Russia.

Participants and guests expressed hope that the conference will become a regular event and become a platform for the exchange of methodological ideas and creative plans.

The Department of Russian Language expressed gratitude to the university administration, the Department of Youth Science and Scientific Events, and the Gubkin University Student Scientific Society for their support and assistance in organizing the conference.
