II All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Improving the efficiency of the internal control system as a factor in the sustainable development of industrial enterprises"

From May 21 to 22, 2025, for the second year in a row, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) became the venue for the II All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Improving the efficiency of the internal control system as a factor in the sustainable development of industrial enterprises", organized by the Department of Financial Management with the support of the internal audit service of PJSC NK Rosneft as part of the development of the master's program "Internal Audit and Control".

The event was dedicated to the issues of improving the efficiency of the internal control system as a factor in the sustainable development of industrial enterprises.

The welcoming speech was made by the rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov, vice president - head of the internal audit service of PJSC NK Rosneft Gennady Bukaev and the dean of the faculty of economics and management Alexander Slavinsky.

As a result, 42 speakers spoke at the conference, including:

– representatives of PJSC NС Rosneft, State Corporation Rosatom, PJSC Inter RAO, LLC Auchan, PJSC PhosAgro, Kept, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation;
– teachers and students of Gubkin University and partner universities;
– participants of the student scientific circle "Oil and Gas Finance".

In total, more than 150 people took part in the event, including online. This is one of the positive examples of cooperation between education and enterprises of the real sector.

The conference considered a wide range of issues related to approaches to organizing internal control and ways to improve its effectiveness, including the introduction of preventive tools, continuous monitoring, data analysis tools, as well as the continuous development of the competencies of internal controllers and auditors. Following the conference, all participants noted the importance of organizing internal control as a factor that has a direct impact on the sustainable development and business processes of any company.
