Gubkin University Students Win Prizes at the 5th (17th) International Scientific and Technical Youth Conference of PJSC Transneft
From May 19 to 22, 2026, the third final round of the 5th (17th) International Scientific and Technical Youth Conference of PJSC Transneft was held at Transneft-Vostok in Bratsk.
The event brought together young professionals, including speakers from the International Association of Oil Transporters (IAOT), as well as undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students from various universities across the Russian Federation: Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University), Samara State Technical University, Industrial University of Tyumen, Siberian Federal University, Ukhta State Technical University, Far Eastern Federal University, and others.
Pavel Revel-Muroz, Vice President of Transneft PJSC, and Denis Cheplyansky, General Director of Transneft-Vostok LLC, delivered welcoming remarks. Nikita Golunov, Vice Rector for Continuing Professional Education, represented Gubkin University as a member of the presidium.
At the conference, Gubkin University was represented in the student section by members of the Student Scientific Society: Daria Malinovskaya, a master's student in the Faculty of Economics and Management (group EYUM-25-01), presented a paper on "Current Issues in Establishing Minimum Distance Zones to Trunk Pipelines," and Anastasia Susanina and Ekaterina Kozlova (group KB-23-19), students in the Faculty of Integrated Safety of the Fuel and Energy Complex, presented a paper on "Legal Instruments for Protecting the Rights of an Organization Operating a Trunk Pipeline to Access Other Persons' Land for the Purposes of Pipeline Maintenance and Repair."
Following the conference, Anastasia Susanina and Ekaterina Kozlova took second place in the student section, and Daria Malinovskaya received a participant's certificate.
First place in the youth section went to Anastasia Batalygina, a research associate at the Pipeline Condition Assessment Laboratory at Research Institute Transneft LLC and a graduate of Gubkin University, with her paper entitled "Proposals for Improving the Assessment of Loads in Transient Processes."
Gulpam Annadurdyeva, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mining, Land, and Environmental Law, and Elena Pirogova, Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Law, were responsible for the scientific preparation.
As part of the cultural program, the participants were given a sightseeing tour of Bratsk, visiting key landmarks such as the Bratsk Hydroelectric Power Station, the Glory Memorial overlooking the Angara River, and a monument to hydroelectric engineer I.I. Naimushin.
