Gubkin University Students at the 18th International Conference on Fundamental and Applied Aspects of Physical Chemistry “Physical Chemistry 2026”
From September 21 to 25, 2026, the 18th International Conference on Fundamental and Applied Aspects of Physical Chemistry “Physical Chemistry 2026” was held at the Institute of General and Physical Chemistry in Belgrade (Serbia).
The conference was organized by the Serbian Society of Physical Chemists with the participation of the Institute of Catalysis of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the G.K. Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the University of Pécs, and a number of institutes of the University of Belgrade. The conference was dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Institute of General and Physical Chemistry (Belgrade) and was recognized by the European Chemical Society (EuChemS).
The conference programme was organized within 20 thematic sections: chemical thermodynamics; spectroscopy, molecular structure and plasma physics; kinetics and catalysis; oscillatory reactions and chaos; electrochemistry; biophysical chemistry, and others. The programme featured plenary and sectional lectures, oral and poster presentations, as well as interdisciplinary discussions. Welcoming remarks at the opening of the forum were delivered by Slobodan Anić, President of the Serbian Society of Physical Chemists, and representatives of the University of Belgrade and the organizing committee.
Gubkin University was represented at the event by members of the Student Scientific Society, postgraduate students of the Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Ecology: Vladimir Klimovsky (group HTA-26-01) with an oral presentation on “Hydrodeoxygenation of Eugenol in the Presence of Ru-Containing Catalysts Based on Natural Aluminosilicates” and Lyubov Zatsepina (group HNA-25-03) with a poster presentation on “Hydroisomerization of n-Hexadecane over a Pt Catalyst Supported on the Bizeolite SAPO-11 + SAPO-31” (scientific supervisor – Alexander Glotov, Leading Researcher of the Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry).
The representation of members of the Student Scientific Society of Gubkin University at external venues is carried out within the framework of the University’s SSS development programme “Strategy of New Discoveries”.
