Gubkin University representatives at the IX International Geological and Geophysical Conference and Exhibition "GeoEurasia-2026. Geological Exploration Technologies – Science and Business"
From March 31 to April 4, 2026, the IX International Geological and Geophysical Conference and Exhibition "GeoEurasia-2026. Geological Exploration Technologies – Science and Business" was held in Moscow.
The business program addressed current developments in geology and oil and gas field development, including digitalization of geological exploration, enhanced oil recovery, environmental safety of subsoil use, and the implementation of innovative technologies in the oil and gas industry. Particular attention was paid to the rational use of mineral resources and international cooperation.
The event was attended by members of the Student Scientific Society, students from the Faculty of Oil and Gas Geology and Geophysics at Gubkin University:
– Vladislav Belotserkovsky (Group GP-22-01);
– Anna Klimakova (Group GP-21-01);
– Vadim Pivovarov (Group GP-21-01);
– Evgeny Samokhvalov (Group GP-21-01);
– Elizaveta Starodubova (Group GP-22-09);
– Arseniy Khudik (Group GP-22-09);
– Victoria Chernova (Group GP-22-09);
– Ravil Yanabaev (Group GP-22-09).
The students participated in plenary sessions, thematic sections, and discussions, where they learned about modern scientific approaches and practical cases from the industry. Participation in the forum allowed them to expand their professional competencies, deepen their knowledge in geological exploration and field development, and establish contacts with industry and scientific community representatives.
Following their attendance at the conference, participants noted the high level of organization and its importance for training future oil and gas industry specialists. The knowledge and experience gained will be used in the students' future research and academic activities. The event confirmed the importance of integrating science, education, and industry for the effective development of the mineral resource complex and the sustainable development of natural resources.
Representing members of the Gubkin University Student Scientific Society at external venues is part of the university's Student Scientific Society development program, "Strategy for New Discoveries."
