Gubkin University participated in the 20th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Pipeline Transport – 2025"

On November 21, 2025, the 20th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Pipeline Transport – 2025" successfully concluded at the Scientific and Technical Center of Research Institute Transneft LLC and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU). The conference, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Professor Pavel Tugunov and the 50th anniversary of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University's Pipeline Transport Faculty, was held.

The conference, dedicated to these anniversaries, provided a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing current issues in the development of pipeline transport. Gubkin University was represented by Nikita Golunov, Vice-Rector for Continuing Professional Education. To mark this significant milestone in the history of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University's Pipeline Transport Faculty, the university presented a congratulatory address highlighting its achievements in the development of the industry.

Additionally, Vice-Rector Nikita Golunov presented a report titled "On the Prospects of Using Drag Reducing Additives in the Design of New and Operation of Existing Main Oil and Petroleum Product Pipelines." The presentation, which generated interest among conference participants, focused on improving the energy efficiency and throughput of pipeline systems.

The conference also discussed the implementation of artificial intelligence, robotic systems, and digital twins in the pipeline industry. Participants noted the high level of organization and the practical value of the research presented.

Following the conference, a decision was made to hold the next meeting in 2026.
