Gubkin University at the Russian Petrochemical Forum

From May 20 to 23, 2025, the Russian Petrochemical Forum and the 33rd international specialized exhibition "Gas. Oil. Technologies" were held in Ufa at VDNKh EXPO UFA. The events were held with the support and participation of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The organizers were the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Innovation of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Bashkir Exhibition Company.

The key tracks of the business program were dedicated to the development of technological sovereignty; domestic developments in oil refining and petrochemistry; international integration; digital management of fuel and energy complex enterprises; advanced engineering solutions in the field of pipeline transport; comprehensive measures of state support for the industry; ensuring the safety of hazardous industrial facilities; innovation and sustainable development in drilling oil and gas wells and integrated approaches of higher education and business in training personnel.

A total of 56 business events took place during the four days of the forum. Expert reports were presented by 665 federal and regional speakers, including representatives of government, business, associations and unions, and the scientific community.

Gubkin University also took part in the event.

On the first day of the forum, Vladimir Kapustin, Head of the Department of Oil Refining Technology, spoke as a speaker in the Oil and Gas Refining and Petrochemicals section. The organizers were the Association of Oil Refiners and Petrochemists and the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University.

There was also a section on "Improving the efficiency of repair and insulation works in wells by means of in-situ insulation with gel-forming compounds", where the speaker was Svetlana Aksenova, head of the sector of chemical reagents for well repair at the Scientific and Educational Center "Industrial Chemistry", who spoke remotely with a report on "Surfactant-polymer composition based on an inverse emulsion for limiting water inflow in production wells". The composition forms an insulating material at a distance from the well after the emulsion is destroyed in a porous medium. The developed composition is selective and is most effective at sites with high mineralization of formation waters, which is confirmed by filtration studies. When interacting with oil, gel or sediment does not form.

On the second day, the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Information Technologies in the Fuel and Energy Complex. Problems and Solutions" - IT'DAYS-2025 was held. Professor of the Department of Information Technology Security Nikolay Korneev spoke as a speaker with a scientific report on the topic "Microservice architecture of a pattern for protecting a web application from XSS attacks", where he gave an in-depth analysis of the principle of cross-site scripting, in particular stored XSS. A microservice architecture of a pattern was developed to protect a web application from XSS attacks. Four containers (nginx, php, mysql, phpmyadmin) were deployed in a containerization environment and interaction between them was configured. A security service was developed to protect against XSS attacks using the built-in htmlspecialchars function. The security service includes the htmlspecialchars function with the configuration code and functions for interacting with the containers described above. By means of natural modeling of a web application, a repeated XSS attack was performed, as a result of which the JavaScript code was not executed, the data was safely extracted from the database. As a result, a marker was obtained for monitoring the blocked XSS attack. Further monitoring of the XSS attack was based on open source software. Manifests for the implementation of the basic cluster configuration have been created. The deployed XSS attack monitoring system has demonstrated the ability to diagnose peaks in load changes as signs of a blocked XSS attack.

The forum also included a scientific and technical conference "Innovative Technologies in Hydrocarbon Production". The event was organized by the scientific institute of PJSC NK Rosneft - OOO RN-BashNIPIneft. The co-organizer was the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan. More than 700 experts from leading oil industry companies from 40 cities in Russia took part in the conference. The speakers in the section "Practical Aspects of Oilfield Chemistry" were: Professor of the Department of Technology of Chemicals for the Oil and Gas Industry Lyutsiya Davletshina with a report "Problems and Prospects for the Development of Field Chemistry", Deputy Head of the Department of Technology of Chemicals for the Oil and Gas Industry Kira Poteshkina with a report "Study of the Rheological Properties of Polyacrylamide" and a postgraduate student of the department Timur Yunusov remotely presented a report "Application of Colloid Chemistry Principles to Create Complex Fluids for Bottomhole Treatment". In the section "Development of Oil and Gas Fields: Digital Projects and Technologies" Vladislav Dormenev remotely presented a report on the topic of "Modeling the operation of a well in the operation of periodic short-term switching, equipped with an electric centrifugal pump unit". In the section "Innovative technologies for the development of TRIZ. Practical aspects of the application of hydraulic fracturing", a postgraduate student of the Department of Development and Operation of Oil Fields Vladimir Ivanov remotely presented a report on "Method for calculating the efficiency of gas separation during periodic operation of wells equipped with an electric centrifugal pump unit".

On the third day of the forum, a conference on carbon materials "Sunyaev Readings" was held, organized by the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University and the Technological Center for Industrial Innovations of PJSC Gazprom Neft. The first speaker was the head of the Department of Oil Refining Technology Vladimir Kapustin with a report on "New technologies for processing oil residues". The moderator of the event, Professor of the Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry Ravilya Safieva also spoke with a report on the topic "Asphaltene-containing dispersions as the basis of carbon materials: retrospective analysis and new prospects".

Also throughout the forum, the VIII International Student Olympiad named after Professor K.F. Bogatykh in the discipline "Processes and apparatuses of chemical technology" was held. Students of the Faculty of Engineering Mechanics Pavel Lagutin, Andrey Vorobyov and Bogdan Pivovarchuk (group MTM-23-02) took third place in the team competition.

Over three decades, the exhibition has become the largest platform for demonstrating equipment and new technologies, and has also entered the top 3 significant events in the petrochemical industry in Russia. The Gubkin Publishing House took part in the exhibition remotely.
