Gubkin University at the International Scientific Conference "Rassokhin Readings"
From February 6 to 7, 2025, the International Scientific Conference "Rassokhin Readings" was held for the 17th time at Ukhta State Technical University.
The conference brought together representatives of the oil and gas industry, science and government and became a platform for discussing current issues in the development of engineering, technology, resource base and industry. The discussion subject in 2025 was the experience of oil and gas companies in the implementation of carbon-free energy technologies.
More than 150 reports on various topics were announced in the sections. Leading representatives of the oil and gas industry, including doctors of technical and chemical sciences, spoke at the plenary session.
Gubkin University also took part in the event.
Head of the Department of Thermodynamics and Thermal Engines Alexey Lopatin spoke at the plenary session in the format of a panel discussion "Experience of oil and gas companies in the implementation of carbon-free energy technologies" with a report on the topic "Carbon neutrality of Russia: problems and prospects". Also, within the framework of the conference, Alexey Lopatin, together with employees of PJSC Gazprom, took part in a round table meeting "Solving urgent scientific problems of the gas industry" and a meeting with USTU students and the council of young specialists of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta LLC.
Over its history, the forum has earned recognition from leading experts as an authoritative platform for discussing and finding solutions to practical problems of the oil and gas industry in Russia. Since the first scientific and practical seminar, held in 2009, significant changes have occurred in the proceedings of the conference: the number of reports has increased fivefold, the scale of the event has grown, both in the number of participants and in geography. In 2017, the international seminar "Rassokhin Readings" acquired the status of an international conference. Representatives of a number of educational institutions and industrial enterprises from the country and abroad are taking part in the conference.
