Gubkin University at the 24th International Exhibition "Equipment and Technology for the Oil and Gas Complex "Neftegaz-2025"

From April 14 to 17, 2025, the 24th International Exhibition "Equipment and Technology for the Oil and Gas Complex "Neftegaz-2025" was held at the Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow. It is the largest in Russia and one of the world's leading professional exhibitions of equipment and technologies for the oil and gas complex. The event was organized by Expocentre JSC with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The Neftegaz exhibition, one of the ten largest oil and gas projects in the world, demonstrates the latest oil and gas and oil refining equipment and technologies to specialists, provides an opportunity to establish and expand business contacts, and discuss a wide range of issues facing the industry. The event brought together leading specialists, experts and company representatives from around the world, which contributed to an active exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of oil and gas.

The event included more than 60 events in various formats: panel discussions, conferences and round tables. The forum was attended by about 36,000 industry specialists, and the area of ​​the open area increased fourfold. The total exhibition area was 60,000 square meters. The exhibition was attended by 1,020 companies from different countries, including Germany, India, Iran, Italy, China, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France. The exhibitors included manufacturers and suppliers of oil and gas, oil refining, electrical and power equipment for the oil and gas industry, as well as organizations engaged in the fuel and energy complex and related industries.

Employees of Gubkin University took part in the business program of the 24th international exhibition "Equipment and technologies for the oil and gas complex "Neftegaz-2025".

The Eurasian Oil and Gas Forum was held as part of the exhibition. On April 15, 2025, a blitz session "Personnel Formula 2025: TOP Talents for the Fuel Industry" was held jointly with the B1 Group of Companies. The invited speaker of the session was the rector of Gubkin University, Viktor Martynov. The key issues discussed at the event were: personnel for oil and gas 2025: where to look, how to develop, how to retain; from university to well: what graduates expect from working in the oil and gas industry; how to make the fuel and gas industry attractive to candidates.

Also, as part of the exhibition, on April 15, 2025, a discussion session "Legal Aspects of Prevention and Compensation of Damage to the Environment in the Oil and Gas Complex" was held, organized by Expocentre JSC with the support of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University). The speakers were Vitaly Melgunov, Head of the Department of Mining, Land and Environmental Law, Natalia Tolstykh, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Mining and Energy Law of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University), and Antonina Kostareva, Senior Lawyer at Noland Consulting. Important topics of discussion were issues of eliminating the consequences of environmental impacts and financial support for the fulfillment of obligations by subsoil users.

On April 16, 2025, a scientific and practical conference "Technological Sovereignty in Field Development: from Yu.P. Zheltov to the Present Day" was held, where Valery Bessel, Professor of the Department of Thermodynamics and Thermal Engines, was the speaker. The conference focused on technological solutions that are critical for the industry. These are not only new approaches to the use of the hydraulic fracturing method, but also a whole range of opportunities to improve the efficiency of oil and gas field development and operation.

Gubkin University staff presented exhibits with relevant topics.

The Department of Oil Field Development and Operation presented a model of a mobile system for low-temperature stabilization of oil and gas condensate in field conditions and a technology for removing hydrogen sulfide at a field in the form of an ultrasonic surface to intensify gas emission. The Department of Machines and Equipment for the Oil and Gas Industry presented a software package for selecting oil-producing pumping equipment "Avtotekhnologist", included in the register of Russian software.

The Department of Chemistry and Technology of Lubricants and Chemmotology spoke about detergent-dispersant, dispersant, paired oxidizing, antiwear and antioxidant additives. It also showed ionic liquids and a package of additives for motor oils.

The Gubkin Publishing House presented scientific and technical journals with up-to-date information on the state and development prospects of the oil and gas complex of Russia, neighboring and far-abroad countries.

Activists of the student trade union committee Matvey Revin (group RB-24-03), Egor Muzenko (group RB-24-03), Alexander Bylkov (group KB-23-12), Anastasia Sakhkar (group KB-23-12), Ivan Vasiliev (group EE-24-01) provided assistance in coordinating and organizing the business program.
