Day Two of the International Forum "Oil and Gas – 2026"
On April 22, 2026, the second day of the International Forum "Oil and Gas – 2026" took place at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University).
The second day concluded with an exhibition showcasing developments from universities, research organizations, and fuel and energy companies. Forum participants learned about applied technological solutions, discussed research results, and established professional contacts that could form the basis for joint projects.
The breakout sessions of the 80th International Youth Scientific Conference "Oil and Gas" continued. The conference aims to analyze current industry achievements, identify priority research areas, and support the scientific initiatives of young scientists and schoolchildren.
The student section of the 6th Moscow International Forum "Energy Security. Eurasian Scenario" has opened. The discussions addressed energy system sustainability and the challenges facing Eurasian states. Participants addressed both the technological and humanitarian aspects of energy security. Proposals were formulated for executive and legislative authorities. The session was held in conjunction with Remembrance Day for Victims of Radiation Accidents and Disasters, the anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident.
The 5th All-Russian Youth Programming Championship "Digital Oil" was officially opened jointly with Avtomatika Service LLC and GSP Center LLC. Seventeen teams are participating in the competition. Participants are presented with a problem based on real oil refining production data. Teams analyze time series of hydrotreating unit operating parameters and develop an algorithm to determine the rate of catalyst degradation and predict the criticality point.
The organizers expressed gratitude to the conference participants and experts, as well as to the organizations participating in the exhibition of developments by university scientists and specialized fuel and energy companies.
