All-Russian scientific and methodological conference with international participation "Current issues of physical education and sports in the university"
From January 28 to 29, 2025, the All-Russian scientific and methodological conference with international participation "Current issues of physical education and sports in the university" was held at Gubkin University.
The plenary session of the All-Russian scientific and methodological conference with international participation "Current issues of physical education and sports in the university" dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) was held on January 28, 2025. 73 works of 145 teachers and postgraduate students representing 40 higher education institutions from four countries were submitted for participation in the conference. Among them, 12 doctors and 29 candidates of science.
The conference was opened by Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Educational Work Anton Tumanov, who drew the attention of those gathered to the state order – inclusion of at least 70% of the country's population in regular physical education and sports.
Professor Vladimir Uvarov, representing Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Coordination Scientific and Methodological Center of Physical Education Departments of the Eurasian Association of Universities, addressed the conference participants with congratulations. He drew attention to the fact that Gubkin University is an active member of the association and has been holding this conference at a high level since 2005.
The following participants presented their reports: Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Gubkin University Aleksey Egorychev and Head of the Department of Philosophy and Socio-Political Technologies Marina Filatova, Head of the Department of Physical Education at RSUH Igor Lazarev, Professor at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Plekhanova Svetlana Filimonova, head of the laboratory of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Federal Scientific Center of Physical Culture Eduard Zyurin and leading researcher Tamara Dolmatova, representing the All-Russian Research Institute of Physical Culture.
In the speeches and reports of scientists and university staff, attention was drawn to the connection between students' physical activity and their academic and future professional activities and the need to develop an active attitude of students towards their health.
