A university employee took part in the International scientific and practical conference "Ensuring the safety of oil facilities"
From August 6 to 8, 2025, the II International scientific and practical conference "Ensuring the safety of oil facilities" was held at the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Moscow.
The conference was organized by the All-Russian Research Institute of Civil Defense and Emergencies together with the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (Saudi Arabia), the Emercom agency and the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO). The conference brought together leading experts, scientists, representatives of government agencies and international organizations to discuss current issues of protecting critical energy infrastructure.
The conference was opened by reports by Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters - Chief State Inspector of the Russian Federation for Fire Supervision Anatoly Suprunovsky, Head of the All-Russian Research Institute of Civil Defense and Emergencies Maxim Bedilo, President of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (Saudi Arabia) Abdulmajid bin Abdullah Al-Banyan, Head of the Global Program to Counter Terrorism Threats of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office Olga Lanchenko.
In the section "International Cooperation in Protecting Oil Facilities", a report was made by the Head of the Department (Basic) of International Cooperation in Security Ensuring Dmitry Medvedev, who spoke about international practices for protecting oil and gas facilities from terrorist attacks.
The conference included five scientific sessions, demonstrations of innovative solutions and an exhibition exposition, which allowed participants to get acquainted with advanced practices in the field of protecting critical energy infrastructure.
