Gubkin University is consistently ranked among the top 20 universities in Russia

Based on the survey results of the reputable RAEX (Expert RA) rating agency, in 2016 Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas – the leading Russian university in terms of training of specialists for oil and gas industry – secured a place in the top 20 universities in Russia and was ranked among the top 5 leaders according to the employer’s demand.

Gubkin University has maintained its position as the top-ranked university and became the 16th in the overall standings. The University entered in the top ten universities with high tuition fees and became the fifth according to the employer’s demand, ahead of such leading universities in Russia as National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Saint Petersburg State University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Tomsk Polytechnic University and National University of Science and Technology MISiS.

Gubkin University managed to get a foothold among the top 20 universities in terms of high-quality education.

The RAEX rating agency made its fifth annual rating of Russian universities. A complex research used statistical information, and a large-scale survey which covered more than 28 000 respondents: employers, representatives of academic and scientific communities, students and graduates. According to the agency data, technical university graduates remain more desirable by the labor market than humanists, economists and managers. However, applicants evidently prefer economics and management majors.
