Gubkin University entered the top 150 best universities in the region according to QS EECA ranking

British company QS Quacquarelli Symonds released the annual ranking of best universities in the countries of Emerging Europe and Central Asia – QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe & Central Asia 2016. Gubkin University is in the 141st – 150th places among the leading foreign universities.

The ranking of best educational institutions in the region is based on nine criteria: academic and employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, international faculty and international students, papers per faculty, citations per paper, staff with a PhD, web impact based on the Webometrics ranking.

The ranking uses a methodology that takes into account peculiarities of local systems of higher education and serves as a reference point for students, scholars and regional government agencies interested in international mobility.

In 2016 Gubkin University managed to maintain its position in the ranking compared with the previous year.
