The President of the Republic of Tatarstan visited Gubkin University

On 10 April 2021, a delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan led by Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, paid a working visit to Gubkin University.

During the meeting, Mr. Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, acquainted the visitors with the important infrastructure facilities and simulators available at the University, and spoke about the specifics of training in the oil and gas industry. In addition, an agreement was concluded between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Gubkin University, which will enable to enrich the best traditions of Russian higher education, contribute to the creation of breakthrough technologies for sustainable technological development of the Republic of Tatarstan and the country as a whole. The partnership aims at the implementation of joint projects and full cooperation in educational, research and interregional initiatives.

As part of the working visit, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov also attended a lecture that was held in the auditorium of PJSC TATNEFT. At the lecture, students were able to ask questions regarding the prospects for the development of cooperation between Gubkin University and Innopolis University, employment in oil and gas companies of the Republic of Tatarstan, joint initiatives in educational and scientific fields.
