Kyrgyzstan is interested in exporting Russian educational services for the gas industry

Kyrgyzstan is interested in exporting educational services from Russian universities for the country's gas industry. This was stated by Bolot Abildaev, General Director of Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC, at a meeting with the management of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) on February 16, 2026.

Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC is ready to act as an integrator for the needs of Kyrgyz companies in the relevant fields in planning relevant educational programs, noted Bolot Abildaev.

"Gubkin University is developing symmetrically with the oil and gas industry. Research teams conduct research for leading industry companies, which allows us to integrate information on promising technologies into educational programs," said Rector Viktor Martynov.

Kyrgyzstan plans to increase the gasification rate from 44% to 60% by 2030, as well as develop the national natural gas motor fuel market, which will require the creation of additional production capacity.

"The development of the gas industry dictates the need to train highly qualified personnel and specialists familiar with the latest technologies. Gubkin University is one of the most respected universities not only in Russia but also globally, so we are interested in expanding our cooperation," emphasized Bolot Abildayev.

The parties discussed a joint work plan, which includes training certified specialists, professional development for current employees of industry companies, and career guidance activities for schoolchildren.

Gubkin University has expanded its international cooperation geography from 74 countries in 2022 to 93 countries today.
