Members of the University's Student Scientific Society at the RUDN Open Universiade "RUDN-ON"

From January 27 to January 31, 2025, the final stage of the RUDN Open Universiade "RUDN-ON" was held at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Gubkin University was represented at the venues by members of the student scientific society.

The organizer of the Universiade was Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The Universiade is held in 29 areas. Olga Guseva, a student of the Department of Public and International Legal Support of National Security of the Faculty of Comprehensive Security of the Fuel and Energy Complex, an activist of the student scientific society (group KM-21-15), whose academic supervisor is Associate Professor of the Department of Public and International Legal Support of National Security Mikhail Smirnov, became a prize winner in the subject area "Law".

The Universiade in the subject area "Law" is held with the aim of finding motivated and talented students who possess the knowledge, skills and abilities that allow them to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the main problems of legal regulation and law enforcement.

The Universiade in the subject area "Law" consisted of four blocks, in each of which the student had to independently give a detailed answer. In the first block, the participant was offered a situational task to test the skills of identifying the philosophical and ideological foundations of legal phenomena and processes. In the second block, the participant was asked to demonstrate the skills of critical legal thinking and interpretation of legal texts. In the third block, the participant was given a task to test the skills of legal argumentation. In the fourth block, the participant had to write an essay on one of the proposed topics, using legal argumentation.

Also, students of the Faculty of Oil and Gas Field Development Mohamed Abdelghani and Ibrahim Salem took part in the Universiade.
