Gubkin University students made a study trip to German production facilities

On March 18 – 24, 2018, the third year Bachelor students specialized in technosphere safety at Gubkin University visited German production facilities within the framework of international cooperation and academic mobility.

Gubkin University students visited the gas storage and distribution sites of VNG Gasspeicher Bernburg, the facilities for production of thermal sensors from Endress+Hauser Nesselwang, the geothermal power and heat plant Geothermische Kraftwerksgesellschaft Traunreut as well as facilities of OMV company in Austria for oil and gas production, dry desulfurization, gas storage and distribution.

Representatives from companies at each site delivered lectures on manufacturing processes, technological equipment and safety systems.

The trip took place thank to Professor Amro, Dr. Frederick Rose, Sabine Beyer, with the support of the Institute of Drilling Engineering and Fluid Mining of Freiberg Mining Academy, and sponsored by VNG.
