Gubkin University students became participants of VII Summer session within the project "Young Innovators Academy"

On August 14 – 17, 2018 VII Summer off-site session within the framework of the project “Young Innovators Academy” was held in Volgograd, Russia. Gubkin University was represented by students from the specialized departments of LUKOIL-Engineering.

The goal of the event was to involve young specialists in innovative activities, to master basic skills of creative and team thinking, and to develop intellectual and engineering abilities. The program of the event included business training on building an effective team for solving production and organizational tasks; business training for interdisciplinary teams aimed at developing management and team competencies; interactive lectures; team-building competitions; and creative contests. In their spare time, young professionals were offered an opportunity to speak in an informal environment with the heads of LUKOIL-Engineering and honorary guests of the Academy.

Gubkin University was represented by the following students – Anastasia Bobrova from the Department of Modeling of Physical and Technological Field Development Process and Grigory Skrypnik from the Department of Innovation Management. For two days, four teams competed for the victory in “Young Innovators Academy”. Participants were asked to conduct the case study "Drafting the project for preparation, exploration and development of promising fields” in the format of the competition of project teams.

The event is held for the seventh year in a row within the framework of the Program of LUKOIL Group aimed at work with young specialists. The initiative of this event is supported by the united trade union organization of LUKOIL-Engineering, which sets the promotion of the youth movement and the creative endeavors of the young employees of the Company as its main goal.
