Gubkin University presented its good practices in working with youth and international students

On 17-18 February 2023, the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) held an off-site session with the participation of Russian higher education institutions. The session was held at ETNOMIR ethnographic park and museum.

Moderated by Mr. Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, the session brought together representatives of more than 50 Russian universities that offer training to international students. During the session, the participants exchanged good university practices for working with talented youth and international students and for identifying creative and intellectual abilities of youth for their personal development. In addition, the participants discussed modern models of engaging young people through intellectual competitions.

Gubkin University was represented by Ms. Victoria Mikhedova, Head of Advertising and Information Support Office, who delivered a presentation about My Moscow Summer project. This initiative was launched in 2022 for international students, many of whom were not able to go home for summer holidays due to a number of challenges. The project was aimed to provide international students with an opportunity to become familiar with sights and museums of Moscow, traditions of Russia as well as to assist them with the organization of recreation.
