Gubkin University awarded diplomas of professional retraining to Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery specialists

On November 10, 2016 during the Scientific and technical conference for young specialists of the logistics unit, processing and marketing hosted in St. Petersburg by Gazprom Neft, qualification diplomas were awarded to 16 Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery specialists.

The unique character of this educational program lies in the fact that it is implemented in a network format between Gubkin University, French Institute of Petroleum (IFP School), IFP Training company (the structural unit of IFP School, which provides training of refinery specialists) and Omsk State Technical University. The agreement on the implementation of this joint educational project was signed on 21 May 2014 in St. Petersburg. The start for the program was given in October 2014.

Upon the completion of the joint program, students received Master’s Degree from IFP School in oil refining and petrochemical technology and Diploma of professional retraining from Gubkin University with the right to a new type of professional activity in the field of oil refining.

The Professor of the Department of Technology of Oil Refining at Gubkin University Boris Tumanyan supervised the program of professional retraining, made considerable efforts for its development and implementation, assisted in inviting university faculty and the overall coordination of the program, constantly being in touch with his French colleagues.

Diplomas were awarded to program participants by Philippe Pinchon, Rector at IFP School, Christine Travers, Director of Refining-Chemicals at IFP Training and Nikita Golunov, Vice-Rector for continuing professional education at Gubkin University.

University representatives expressed their gratitude to the management of Gazprom Neft and Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery for contribution made to training of young professionals, and shaping of a continuous education system of the personnel. At the end of the event, the parties defined the areas for potential cooperation, including the implementation of similar joint programs aimed at the development and improvement of professional competence of employees.
