Rector's Congratulations on the 95th Anniversary of the University

Dear colleagues and students! Dear Gubkinites!

With all my heart I congratulate you on the main holiday of our university - Gubkinites Day. In 2025, our alma mater turns 95 years old - we are one step away from our first century. Behind us is the great history created by students, teachers and staff of Gubkin University of all generations!

For 95 years, we have been training top-notch professionals who make a significant contribution to the development of world science and the practice of searching, developing, transporting and processing of oil and gas resources. Among our graduates there are many famous organizers and leaders of the oil and gas industry, public and political figures.

The success of Gubkin University has been formed and strengthened by many generations of leaders, teachers, staff, students and graduates. Today, our university is one of the world leaders in oil and gas education with advanced technologies, strong traditions and experienced scientific and pedagogical staff.

We are proud of the graduates of the Military Training Center of Gubkin University, who worthily carry the legacy of their ancestors, defending the interests of the country during a special military operation and receiving well-deserved state and departmental awards.

Thanks to the general determination, creative search, high professionalism and the ability to carefully preserve and develop the traditions laid down by Ivan Mikhailovich Gubkin, we conquer new heights in Russian and international rankings, our scientists and teachers become laureates of state prizes, and students achieve great heights not only in their studies, but also in social life, in areas not even related to the oil and gas industry.

Today, Gubkin University students face new, more ambitious tasks in implementing the strategy for training engineering personnel and conducting scientific research aimed at ensuring technological leadership and comprehensive preparation for the celebration of our first 100th anniversary, the best gift for which will be the large-scale achievements envisaged by the strategy!

We are confident in the support of the university by strategic industry partners and Gubkin University students of all generations, relying on our traditional values.

I wish all of us and our dear university further prosperity, and these 95 years of history to become a bright initial milestone in many subsequent centennial pages.
