Since 1965, Russia has annually celebrated Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day – a holiday dedicated to the people whose hard work ensures the independence and prosperity of our country. The oil and gas industry is a key element of the Russian economy, the foundation of prosperity, determining the development of the social sphere, stability and well-being of society.

Russia, being one of the leaders in the world production of hydrocarbon fuels, develops its own advanced technologies, conducts fundamental scientific research and opens up new horizons in the development of subsoil, thanks to the high professionalism of oil and gas workers.

Leading universities train qualified personnel for the industry, among which Gubkin University, the country's flagship oil and gas university, occupies a special place. Our graduates are the fruits of the painstaking work of scientific and pedagogical workers who implement digital technologies and attract advanced pedagogical experience to improve the educational process.
