Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) student Alexandra Amosova won the gold medal in the Oil and Gas Engineering category of the ninth season of the All-Russian Student Olympiad "I Am a Professional" – a project of the presidential platform "Russia – Land of Opportunities," implemented as part of the national project "Youth and Children" with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. She will receive a cash prize of up to 300,000 rubles and benefits for admission to the next level of education.

Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Council of the Association of Organizers of Student Olympiads "I Am a Professional," sent a welcoming address to the gold medalists.

"The gold medalists of the 'I Am a Professional' Olympiad will form the country's intellectual and talent pool. I have no doubt that you won't have to sit on the bench, because Russia needs bright talents and new leaders of breakthrough projects right now. In technology and digital, in the humanities and sciences, in creative arts and industries, in energy and industry, in diplomacy in a multipolar world, and in the social sphere—young people with new, progressive, and unique ideas are needed everywhere," he noted.

In the ninth season, students participated in 70 tracks, from "History and Culture of Russia" to "Green Metallurgy." Each track meets current economic needs and helps identify talented specialists for cutting-edge industries.

"The gold medal of the 'I Am a Professional' Olympiad is an award that recognizes exceptional preparation." "Every recipient is a unique specialist who has passed a multi-stage selection process, solved complex, practice-oriented problems, and proven their readiness to work in leading companies, research centers, and government agencies. It is these individuals who lay the foundation for the country's human resource sovereignty and, through their work, demonstrate that Russia is a country of limitless opportunity," said Andrey Betin, CEO of the presidential platform "Russia – Country of Opportunities" and Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop.

For Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University), this victory is confirmation of the high level of student training. The gold medalist demonstrated not only fundamental knowledge but also the ability to solve applied problems.

"The 'I Am a Professional' gold medalists represent Russia's intellectual elite: nationwide, less than 0.1% of the 215,000 participants received the highest award. Among them is Alexandra Amosova from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University). "The girl's achievement confirms that the university's training is high-quality and meets labor market demands," said Valeria Kasamara, director of the All-Russian Student Olympiad "I Am a Professional."

The Olympiad allowed her to test her acquired knowledge and strengthen her professional competencies. Alexandra Amosova thanked her department's faculty not only for their knowledge but also for their ability to think systematically and embrace unconventional challenges.
