University Student Wins Bronze Medal at the Archery World Cup
From January 16 to 18, 2026, one of the most prestigious tournaments on the international calendar, the Nimes Archery Tournament 2026 (IWS Stage 5), took place in Nîmes, France. Over the years, it has become one of the key events of the winter season.
The competition attracted 1,357 athletes from 50 countries, including 26 athletes from the top 10 in the world rankings.
Gubkin University student Stepan Butrym (YT-24-02 group) delivered a solid performance and won bronze in the U21 compound bow division.
In the match for third place, he defeated 19-year-old Italian Gabriele Moriconi in a close battle with a score of 146 to 145.
