University student awarded the title of Master of Sports of Russia of International Class

On April 30, 2025, Denis Fedotov, a student of the KA-22-06 group of the Faculty of Integrated Security of the Fuel and Energy Complex, was awarded the honorary title of "Master of Sports of Russia of International Class" (MSIC) in sambo wrestling.

The title was awarded for winning the international competition - the 2024 Men's Sambo World Cup, which took place on March 21, 2024, at the International Sambo Center in Moscow, where the Gubkin University student demonstrated outstanding results, defeating the strongest opponents from different countries, and confirming his high level of training.

Denis Fedotov began practicing sambo at the age of six. Thanks to the support of the coaching staff and his own determination, he achieved outstanding sports results.

To date, Denis Fedotov's sports record includes the following achievements:

– winner of the Men's Sambo World Cup;
– Winner of the World Youth Sambo Championship;
– Prize-winner of the Russian Cup among men in Sambo;
– Winner and prize-winner of the Russian Sambo Championships;
– Winner and prize-winner of international and all-Russian Sambo competitions.
