Gubkin University Wins Prize in the All-Russian Sailing Competition – the "Sails of Dagestan" Student Sailing League Cup

From March 26 to 29, 2026, the Republic of Dagestan hosted the first All-Russian Sailing Competition – the "Sails of Dagestan" Student Sailing League Cup – where Gubkin University students took bronze.

Crews from various universities across the country participated in the competition. Gubkin University was represented by two crews, primarily first-year students who had recently discovered the world of sailing and were learning about yacht design within the university.

After putting in considerable effort, the Gubkin University students took third and fourth place.

The competition took place in the waters of the Chirkey Reservoir with the support of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Dagestan, the All-Russian Sailing Federation, and the E.A. Gvozdev Sailing Federation of the Republic of Dagestan.

Gubkin University was represented by Diana Andreeva (group KE-23-08), Alina Elomist (group KM-22-11), Nikita Semenov (group KM-23-21), Ivan Kharitonov (group KH-25-05), Denis Polyakov (group EMMv-24-18), Zhanna Klimenko (group HE-23-09), Olga Radchenko (group MP-23-06), and Arseny Tretyakov (group MA-25-03).
