Gubkin University students became the winners of the competition in science and technology

On 14 September 2020, a ceremonial event aimed to award diplomas to the winners of the 10th Competition in Science and Technology was held at LUKOIL-Engineering, LLC. Among the young scientists and specialists are Gubkin University students and graduates of LUKOIL-Engineering specialized departments.

The competition for the best scientific and technical development is held annually among young scientists and specialists. Its main goal is to expand opportunities for developing talents of young specialists of LUKOIL-Engineering as well as to enhance the scientific capacity of the youth.

In total, 133 participants applied for the competition in 2020, and 72 projects were submitted for the jury's assessment. The projects were evaluated in six sections: Geology and Geophysics, Field Development and Enhanced Oil Recovery, Design and Exploration and Project Management, Oil Production Technology, Well Drilling, Information Technologies and Innovation Management.

Based on the competition results, 56 participants in science and technology were awarded diplomas and cash prizes, 27 young specialists were awarded letters of appreciation, and 3 specialists received an opportunity to undergo training at production facilities of LUKOIL Group.

Among the winners in Information Technologies and Innovation Management are:
    - Alexander Repin, second-year Master's degree student of the Department of Innovation Management;
    - Anastasia Chulkova, graduate of the Department of Innovation Management (class of 2016);
    - Narek Ayvazyan, graduate of the Department of Innovation Management (class of 2018).

Ruslan Kochkarev, Rach Varyan and Nikita Nikitin, second-year Master's degree students of the Department of Innovation Management were awarded special prizes and letters of appreciation for participating in the competition.

Among the winners in Field Development and Enhanced Oil Recovery are:
    - Anastasia Bobrova, graduate of the Department of Modeling of Physical and Technological Field Development Process (class of 2019).
