Gubkin University Students are Winners of the Second Stage of the Student Rowing League Summer Season

From June 6 to 7, 2026, the second stage of the Student Rowing League summer season was held at the Rowing Canal in Krylatskoye. The competition was part of the 65th Anniversary Grand Moscow Regatta, one of the largest annual rowing tournaments in Russia. Gubkin University was represented at the competition by students from the Aquatics Center.

The women demonstrated a fierce competition in the individual single sculls. In the final A, student Elizaveta Dorofeeva of group KA-25-06 won the bronze medal, and student Ailina Kil'sinbaeva of group KM-23-20 took a respectable fourth place.

Thanks to this success, the Gubkin University team took first place in the team standings at the second stage of the SGL single sculls division.

In the 2000-meter coxed eights, the Gubkin team also showed impressive results. The men's eight placed fifth in the A final, and the women's eight placed second in the B final.
