Harbin Institute of Technology International Summer School

Registration for the Harbin Institute of Technology International Summer School is open until June 10, 2026, covering 21 programs. Applications for the short-term Chinese language summer program are open until May 31, 2026.

Harbin Institute of Technology was founded in 1920 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. In 1954, it became one of China's leading universities. It is currently a member of the nine leading university unions of China (C9). It is a national key university, with science and engineering as its core, but also placing significant emphasis on social sciences and humanities. The university is known as the "cradle of engineers."

Since its founding in 2016, the Harbin Institute of Technology International Summer School has become one of the leading international platforms for academic exchange. Over the past decade, its programs have steadily expanded from two to more than 20 tracks, and the number of international participants has grown from dozens to over 2,000 representatives from over 40 countries.

In 2026, the university consolidated its high-quality educational resources and carefully developed 21 unique programs covering diverse fields, including aerospace mechanics, intelligent information systems, advanced science, advanced manufacturing technology, and interdisciplinary research. The curriculum reflects the latest global scientific trends, and courses are taught by Chinese and international scholars and experts, providing students from around the world with a high-quality academic experience in English.

A certificate is awarded upon completion of the program.

Requirements:

– Eligibility: final-year undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students (depending on the chosen track);
– Language proficiency: Applicants must be fluent in English (level B2-C1);
– Area of ​​interest: Preference will be given to those interested in science and technology; – Space is limited.

Summer schools in 21 areas will be held in July 2026 and last on average 10-12 days. More detailed information about the start date of each area can be found at the link.

The short-term Chinese language summer program will also be held in July 2026 and lasts approximately one month.

2. Upload all required application documents according to the requirements.
3. Notify Ekaterina Prygaeva, Department of International Relations, of your interest in the international summer school by email at prygaeva.e@gubkin.ru or in person in office 327.
