Call for Volunteers for the Russian-Chinese Summer School "Future Energy: Synthesis of Heritage and Innovation"

From July 18 to 26, 2026, the Russian-Chinese Summer School "Future Energy: Synthesis of Heritage and Innovation" will be held at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University). This summer school is a continuation of events aimed at strengthening cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities, promoting bilateral cooperation in education, and increasing academic mobility for students and faculty. The call for volunteers is open until May 15, 2026. Space is limited.

The school will be held in an intensive immersion format and will bring together students from Russia and China to jointly explore current challenges and prospects in the global energy sector, work on applied projects, and strengthen friendships and professional ties.

The program includes three thematic tracks:

- "Future Development of the Economy and Energy: Vectors and Horizons";
- "Prospects for the Petrochemical Industry: Traditional Methods and Biotechnology";
- "New Trends in Engineering."

Volunteers are invited to participate in the summer school: active, sociable, and responsible students with at least a B2 level of English or Chinese who are prepared to actively contribute to the school, help international participants adapt, and maintain an atmosphere of goodwill and mutual understanding.

Participation in this international educational program will allow volunteers to broaden their horizons, meet people from different cultures, spend their summer vacation in an interesting and productive way, and enhance their resume with a meaningful project.

Participation will provide:

– practical experience organizing international events;
– the opportunity to make new friends and gain foreign language conversational practice;
– listen to engaging lectures from Gubkin University faculty on various contemporary topics;
– a participation certificate and a volunteer's commendation.
