Gubkin University hosted the XXI All-Russian Pushkin Youth Arts Festival

On 17 – 19 October 2019, Gubkin University with the support of the Ministry for Education and Science of the Russian Federation and as part of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Program held the XXI All-Russian Pushkin Youth Arts Festival.

In 2019, the Festival was timed to significant events related to the history of Russian culture: the 220th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin and the Year of the Theater in Russia.

Undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, researchers and faculty members from 60 regional and federal universities under the age of 35 participated in the Festival.

The Festival was held in two stages:

- the selection competition at the university level: universities hold competitions and send winners for participation in the Festival;
- the all-Russian competition: participants come to Gubkin University to compete in various categories; winners of the Festival are determined.

The Festival program included various competitive categories – poetry, prose, video miniature, artistic and graphic competition, photography, opera singing, pop singing, bards singing, instrumental music competition, drama, etc.

The Festival closed with a bright ball hosted by the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, where more than 500 participants got together.
