New academic and computer classrooms were opened at Gubkin University with the support of Rosneft Oil Company

On 28 March 2021, the official ceremony was held at Gubkin University to open the renovated hall, the repaired and refurbished academic and computer classrooms (1310, 1311 and 1318) with the support of Rosneft Oil Company.

Mr. Rustam Alakbarov, Acting Head of the Procurement Service at Rosneft, accompanied by other company representatives, Mr. Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, Mr. Vladimir Koshelev, Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Mr. Petr Anisimov, Head of Campus Development and Management, Mr. Alexander Slavinsky, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Mr. Anton Tumanov, Head of the Department of Youth Projects and Initiatives, faculty members and students of the Specialized Department of Supply System Management in the Oil and Gas Sector participated in the opening ceremony.

On behalf of Gubkin University, Mr. Viktor Martynov expressed gratitude for the support provided by the management of Rosneft, and emphasized the importance of developing modern infrastructure in the educational process.

In turn, Mr. Rustam Alakbarov noted that Rosneft needs young and talented specialists, and expressed confidence in high-quality training of Gubkin University graduates. “Due to extensive experience and solid scientific base, the cooperation between Rosneft and Gubkin University will significantly improve the company's human resource capacity.” – added Mr. Rustam Alakbarov.

The Specialized Department of Supply System Management in the Oil and Gas Sector was established at Gubkin University in 2017 on the initiative of Rosneft. In 2020, the first full-time students graduated from the University. In addition, the Department annually carries out work aimed at professional retraining of Rosneft employees.
