“Thank you for the warm welcome and the opportunity to meet with students of the leading oil and gas university in the country. I am very pleased that many of our fellow countrymen study here. The Astrakhan Region is an oil and gas region that expands its investment programs. It is important for Astrakhan residents to study here, and we hope they will return to our Region to apply acquired knowledge in practice after graduation. We have developed infrastructure and many special projects in the Region which should be maintained by competent specialists,” said Governor Igor Babushkin.
“We are glad to welcome the Governor of the Astrakhan Region. After defeating the coronavirus and coming out of the remote work format, we are thinking about developing the industrial complex in the context of import substitution. The Astrakhan Region is an oil and gas region, and it also shares borders with Kazakhstan, where there are many fields and where a large number of our graduates work. Nowadays the issue of transport corridors is very important, and some of them go through the Region. Therefore, we understand that there will be a lot of work for our graduates there. At the moment, more than 160 Astrakhan students are studying at our university, and we hope this number will grow. In turn, Gubkin University is ready to provide support to the Astrakhan Region in the field of science and education,” said Rector Viktor Martynov.
The partnership involves promoting the development of interregional cooperation and providing support in the implementation of an interdisciplinary approach to the organization of the educational process.
