Gubkin University faculty members at OSCE-wide Counter-Terrorism Conference 2020

On 14 September 2020, within OSCE-wide Counter-Terrorism Conference 2020 “Effective Partnerships against Terrorism and Violent Extremism and Radicalization that Lead to Terrorism”, the Commonwealth of Independent States Anti-Terrorism Center (CIS ATC), CIS Institute for Security and Gubkin University organized a scientific and expert meeting “Integrated security of critical infrastructure: lessons learnt from CIS countries”. Gubkin University was represented by the faculty members of the Faculty of Integrated Security of the Fuel and Energy Complex.

During the meeting, Professor Sergey Grinyaev, Dean of the Faculty, delivered a presentation “Theory formation of integrated security of the fuel and energy complex” and Professor Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Dean for Research, spoke about the peculiarities of training specialists capable to ensure the integrated security of critical facilities.

As part of the event, Professor Grinyaev, was awarded with the medal “20 years of the Commonwealth of Independent States Anti-Terrorism Center” for his contribution to strengthening the coordination and cooperation of CIS ATC member states in counter-terrorism at the international level.

The event was held online in two languages – English and Russian. At the end of the meeting, the OSCE representatives emphasized the importance and relevance of the issues articulated and looked forward to further collaboration.
